Our High Point 100 decaf coffee is processed at Descafecol, the only decaffeination plant in the Andean region of Colombia. The process uses pure water from the Navado el Ruis and natural ethyl acetate from sugar cane plants. The beans are steamed, moistened with hot water, and then the ethyl acetate solvent is circulated through the beans multiple times until at least 97% of the caffeine is removed. Finally, the beans are vacuum-dried and polished with carnauba wax to protect against humidity.

Yes, our High Point 100 decaf coffee is gentle on the stomach. The natural decaffeination process reduces acidity, making it an excellent choice for those with sensitive stomachs.

Decaffeination removes between 97% to 99% of the caffeine in coffee beans. The amount depends on the decaffeination process. A typical cup of decaf coffee has about 2 mg of caffeine, compared to a typical cup of regular coffee, which has about 95 mg of caffeine.
