Peter McKinnon's signature "Golden Hour Blend" makes it's triumphant return. An entirely new look, with the same blend you've come to know and love. We began working with Peter way back in 2016, when Golden Hour was born. Out of shared camaraderie, the partnership-turned-friendship was inevitable.
Named after the most cinematic time of day that provides the most beautiful, soft, warm, and golden lighting. This blend is meant to evoke the care-free, timeless nostalgia that is summertime in Southern California. Brew up a cup for that early morning sunrise sesh, or finish up your day chasing that light as it disappears beyond the horizon.
Golden Hour has and always will be Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Colombia. An all-star blend of origins that we have direct relationships with. It tastes like sweet honey, bright stone fruit, and silky milk chocolate. Creating a bright, round, and delicious cup - perfect for the epic adventures or quiet moments at home.

I have used James Coffee before, and have always enjoyed the quality of their beans. When the Golden Hour blend came back in stock, I was excited to try it again. Did not disappoint.

I have loved this coffee since I discovered it in 2022. So happy that is now back in stock. My ONLY complaint is that they took the brewing instructions off the bag. I had to dig and dig, and found a screenshot I took years ago, so followed that. It's the best tasting pour-over I have ever found. Way to go, guys!

Alright, let's distill this bean's brilliance. For years, it's been my go-to, consistently delivering a delightful experience in my Chemex and V60. Expect a vibrant dance of red berries, grounded by rich cocoa. The surprising, yet welcome, note of salted caramel weaves its way through each sip. It's a clean, medium-light brew, perfect for highlighting its nuanced flavors. This bean consistently delivers a quality cup, and is a reliable choice for any coffee lover. A solid, dependable, and delicious experience.

This is by far one of my all time fave James coffee beans. Red berry. Sweet cocoa and caramel! It’s a standard I keep on my shelf year round. Robust flavours. Amazing scent. Satisfying in a piping hot cup of caffeinated goodness.

I live in Denver, CO and frequently visit San Diego. We have a lot of great coffee out here, but James Coffee is by far my favorite between the cities. The Golden Hour Blend makes a knock out espresso!

It’s hard for me to give my favorite between all the James Coffee blends, but I think golden hour blend takes the cake. It is rich and delicious, and it makes me excited to wake up in the morning!
