Story

Longoi Estate is located in Kericho County, home to fertile volcanic soils and high elevations. While the area has a long reputation for high-quality tea, farmers are starting to cultivate coffee and in 2020 Longoi Estate began processing its own coffee as well. Meticulous picking and processing practices are proving to reinforce the regional expectation of high quality.

This blend of SL28, SL34 Batian and Ruiru 11 is fully washed. Only ripe cherries are hand-picked and washed the same day. After the cherries have been pulped, the parchment is fermented overnight, washed and sorted the following day. It’s then dried for 12 to 24 days on drying tables. The estate collects pulped cherry skins to use as fertilizer for the coffee trees.
